A Heart bypass surgery is usually performed when blood vessels carrying blood to the heart are blocked. If the patient is suffering from cardiovascular disease or high cholesterol the vessels become blocked. Generally an open heart surgery is performed in two ways. These are off-pump surgery and on-pump surgery.
As all surgeries involve certain risks, heart surgeries also need to be managed by taking after-care precautions. Patients are asked to be extra cautious if they want to improve their recovery quicker.
